πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ How Do I Set Up My First Fundraise? [Simple Guide]

It is easy to set up a fundraise and collect funds through Presail. There are 4 steps you need to complete before you start fundraising.

  • Create a deal. After navigating to the Deals page in the sidebar, you start by clicking the blue "New deal" button on the right-hand side.

  • Add project info. Once your deal has been created, you can add key details about the project and customize the investment form in the "Project info" tab.

  • Create pool(s). After completing the project info, you need to create at least one pool. Pools control who gets access to your deal, and on what terms. Navigate to the "Pools tab", click "Add pool" on the right-hand side, and fill out the pool details.

  • Start fundraising. Once the project info is filled out, and you have created a pool, you can start fundraising. All you need to do is share the investment link, and your investors can start investing in the deal.

In the project info tab, you add project details and create the contribution form.

  • Project name: Add the name of the project.

  • Project ticker: Add the ticker of the project. Example: The ticker for Bitcoin is BTC.

  • Vesting info: Add the vesting info for the project, including any TGE date or cliff.

  • Fundraising cap: Add the total amount you want to raise, including fees.

  • Token type: Choose if you want to raise funds through stablecoins, ETH or BNB.

  • Token: If the raise is in stablecoins, choose what coins to allow in the raise.

  • Fundraising progress: Show or hide the current amount raised for investors.

  • Token round: Add the type of investment round, for example Seed or Private.

  • Token price: Add the price per token.

  • Contribution wallet: Add the EVM wallet for receiving funds in the raise.

  • Add questions: Add any questions (optional or required) to the contribution form.

  • Project social handles: Fill out all the essential social links of the project.

  • Pitch: Give investors the information they need to make an informed decision.

The information you add in the project info tab will be visible to your investors, either in the contribution form they fill out, or through the investment page they see before contributing to the deal.

🌊 Create Your Pools

Pools control who gets access to your deal, and on what terms.

  • Navigate to the pools tab: You'll see a tab labeled "Pools" after creating a deal.

  • Create a new pool: In the pool tab, you'll find an "Add pool" button on the right.

  • Choose a pool type: Choose the pool type you want. See all our pool types here.

  • Pool name: Choose a name based on who the pool is created for.

  • Minimum allocation: Define the minimum required investment for investors.

  • Max allocation: Define the maximum investment cap for investors.

  • Fee: Add the fee that applies for participating through this pool.

  • Custom fundraising cap: Set a maximum investment cap for the entire pool.

You can create multiple pools within the same deal. If you have different tiers or groups of investors, you can create pools with different rulesets for each tier/group. Pools can be edited while you are fundraising.

πŸš€ How to Start the Fundraise

Once you have added the project info and created a pool, you can start fundraising.

  • Start fundraising: Click the "Start fundraising" button in the top right corner.

  • Choose when to start: You can start immediately, or schedule a future raise.

  • Copy the pool link: Pools links are listed under the "Start fundraising" button.

  • Share the link: Share the pool link with your investors, and start raising funds!

Fundraising can be paused and resumed at any time.
